Valley School District is seeking a qualified Parent‑Designated Advocate (PDA) to support a preschool student with Type 1 Diabetes within an inclusive Early Learning classroom, while also fulfilling Assistant Early Learning Teacher duties.

Primary duties for this position will include providing one-on-one diabetes-related care following medical plans as a Parent Designated Advocate for the child, as well as fostering a healthy, safe, inclusive classroom environment and assisting in preparing children ages 1-5 for kindergarten.

This continuing full-time (1.0) teaching position at Columbia Virtual Academy begins in August 2026. The position is eligible for full benefits and retirement, with salary placement based on education and experience. Newly hired teachers report to work at Valley School District in the CVA offices on campus, with the potential for approval of partial offsite work, dependent upon mastery of program processes, learning systems and materials, and proficient or higher evaluations.

A qualified applicant is prepared to work with students, parents, and staff serving students in grades K-8 with IEP development, specially designed instruction, and progress monitoring. Successful candidates will also be prepared to support students in SEL/behavior with students one-on-one and groups remotely. In addition, we are seeking a recognized teacher leader to work collaboratively with staff on improving instruction and student learning.

The Substitute Fuel Truck Driver will operate a 4400 gallon fuel truck; perform operator and maintenance checks on the fuel truck and other fuel operating equipment, and fill and transport fuel to VL Transport Center Cooperative member sites. Essential duties include:

• Trans-loading fuel; refueling vehicles from tankers; maintaining the refueling point.
• Performing safety checks and repairing the vehicle as needed.
• Maintaining safe driving, while complying with safety procedures and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Accurately maintaining records and logs of the fuel dispensed and received.
• Providing superior customer service to all customers, and performing other duties as assigned.

The Kitchen Aide substitute will be responsible for helping with food preparation, loading and unloading transported food to and from the High School, as well as serving lunch each day.

Duties will include cleanup of food and tables, returning food and equipment to the central kitchen, washing the pans and dishes as needed, and folding and putting away the lunch tables from Valley School’s lunch service. Other related duties will be required as assigned.
